My Heroes

I waited to the last day of Black History Month to recognize these people who made a impact in my life before I knew how to walk. They say we recognize African-Americans who made a difference and a change in our life. Well I believe in my heart that these people did the same for me. I thank the people who made a impact in my life...If it wasn't for a dream, then I wouldn't know the truth. Yeah those people who stood up for our rights. Now the people about to mention did something important to me...they helped mold me. First, God had an idea about them, so he made it happen. Second, they put; knowledge, wisdom, love, courage, respect, honor, and everything you can think of to make...my parents. Yes people I am talking about my grandparents. If it wasn't for God and them I wouldn't be in this world. My grandmother from my mom side, Ermeise. Was the first woman to show me how strong of a woman she was through God. She always stood up for the family and showed love in the way she knew would help my mother become the woman she is today...awesome. School, respect, knowledge, caring, and don't hold your tongue was how she raised her family. It was hard for me to understand how and why she was the way she was...but now j know it was to make us grow into mature people (adults). She is one of my heroes and someone who helped raise me (I called her mommy). Now on my father side there is my grandfather (no matter real or not...he is my grandfather), we called him Fuzzy. This gentleman right here is my male hero and inspiration. Funny, knowledgeable, strong, reliable, and caring. Growing up he looked physically build...didn't look a day old with the muscles he had, aside from the grey hairs. He was a champion in my book. I always wanted spend time with him...sit back listen to his stories, watch sports and what him treat my grandmother (love you too G-Ma) with respect. Yeah that is who I look up too. Didn't see him a lot because we lived state apart but he was and still is my idol. These two people are apart of my life in spirit and they are tattooed on my back. I give respect and love to everyone in my family. Mom, Dad, grandparents, siblings, relatives, and the up above with them, God. And to those we lost in the past, may God bless them too. These two I believe made my motivation much stronger because of they love they had showed me. May they both R.I.P (Rest in Peace). You may be able to see this or not...but your grandson is proud, grateful, and blessed by God to have you two as my grandparents. I will make your legacy go as high as the heavens, where you sit and watch us from up above.
