Happens for a REASON!?

Everyone in there mind, thinks that everything happens for a reason. Some people are right and some people are wrong. I say that because everything happens for a reason because YOU make its happen. Like for example, If you was suppose to pay for a bill and forgot to do that. The bill you was suppose to pay will CUT OFF. That is because YOU did it. Now if it was the other way around, for example again. If you got offered a job and you applied back in 3 months, then that happened for a reason that YOU yourself can't explain. What I'm trying to say. Do YOU really believe that things happen for a reason because you caused that effect to happen, or you think this was suppose to happen because of REASONS you can't explain!?
